GAN appoints interim CFO on a permanent basis
Brain Chang joins CEO Seamus McGill on in securing top-level job on a permanent basis after serving in interim capacity since November 2022

GAN has appointed Brain Chang as the firm’s permanent CFO after serving in an interim capacity since November 2022.
Chang stepped up to become the B2B and B2C firm’s interim finance head following the resignation of Karen Flores, who had held the position since joining the firm in January 2020.
Previously, Chang had served as GAN’s SVP and corporate controller since September 2021 after moving from customer care service provider Alorica where he served as VP of accounting and reporting.
The former Deloitte head will now be largely responsible for guiding GAN towards a “timely closing” of its acquisition by Sega Sammy.
GAN expects the $107.6m deal to finalise in late 2024 or early 2025 depending on standard and regulatory closing conditions.
Chang’s confirmation as permanent CFO comes less than two months after Seamus McGill was confirmed as the group’s permanent CEO.
McGill, who had previously served as the company’s chair, was brought in to replace Dermot Smurfit in September on an interim basis.
Speaking on his permanent appointment, Chang said: “I’d like to thank both Seamus and the board for their confidence [in me].
“I look forward to the opportunity to continue to lead our finance team toward a successful closing of our merger with Sega Sammy.”
David Goldberg, GAN chair, added: “I’d like to congratulate Brian on his appointment to permanently lead our finance team. Brian has proven his financial acumen having served as our interim chief financial officer and he has the full backing of the board of directors.
“Brian’s proven leadership amongst the financial team and strong knowledge of accounting and financial controls leave us confident that he is the right person to guide us to a successful close of our merger with Sega Sammy.”
Elsewhere, GAN reported a 17% year on year decrease in Q4 revenue last month on the back of dips in B2B and B2C performance.
