GAMING1 lands former Novibet and Flutter exec as new CCO
Yannis Xirotyris joins the Belgium-headquartered firm following a short break from the industry
GAMING1 has announced that former Flutter Entertainment international development director Yannis Xirotyris has joined the firm as its new chief commercial officer (CCO).
Xirotyris joins up with the Belgian operator after leaving his position as Novibet CCO in August 2022
Xirotyris joined Novibet in June 2021 and during his tenure, was responsible for the strategic and international expansion of the brand, developing commercial agreements and initiating new business partnerships and acquisitions.
Before his time at Novibet, Xirotyirs spent under a year at Flutter Entertainment as its international development director.
Prior to Flutter, he spent more than eight years with the now Flutter-owned PokerStars, culminating in his final position as director of international development and regulatory affairs.
In this role, Xirotyris was accountable for new business development opportunities and global partnerships. He also worked closely with the executive committee to define strategic priorities for the business.
Xirotyris also spent more than six years as a regional manager in Greece and the Balkans for Sportingbet.
Elsewhere, GAMING1 was named in the EGR Power 50 for the first time in December after finishing in 49th place.
