Gamesys Group opens Isle of Man office
London-listed operator hails “perfect location” for latest office which will play host to compliance, finance, customer service and marketing teams

Gamesys Group has officially opened its new office on the Isle of Man.
The operator’s new office will play host to teams focusing on compliance, finance, customer services and marketing, with the firm actively recruiting for roles in that location since November 2020.
Gamesys first agreed a lease on the 7,500 sq ft office property in March of this year.
EGR understands Gamesys has transitioned to a hybrid-style working environment for local employees, allowing staff to mix homeworking with office days.
The new office is located on the first floor of 55 Athol Street in the central business district in the capital of Douglas. Local landmarks include the Douglas Marina and the Isle of Man shopping hub of Strand Street.
The operator’s Isle of Man hub will focus on the group’s booming Japan business and it plays host to newly recruited Japanese-speaking employees.
The Athol Street office, which dates back to the 18th century, has been significantly renovated to incorporate several features geared around employee wellbeing.
These include a fully equipped gym with changing rooms and showers, a secure bike park, breakout areas and an emphasis on natural lighting.
“This extraordinary island serves as the perfect location for our latest hub, as it offers a long-established, stable regulatory environment, and an infrastructure that supports the online gaming industry,” Gamesys said in a blog post confirming the opening of the office.
A launch event for the new property was attended by Isle of Man Chief Minister Howard Quayle, who hailed the firm’s focus on responsible gambling and in particular the work of the Gamesys Foundation.
“The launch officially marks the birth of yet another huge player in our flourishing egaming industry,” Quayle said.
“The economic benefits will be enormous for the Manx people, and therefore as well as welcoming you here, I must also thank you for choosing the island as your new home.
“I understand you have pledged £3.3m to the foundation since it was set up last year, which is a staggering achievement, demonstrating that Gamesys will have a positive social influence on our island,” Quayle added.
