GamCare names interim CEO
Independent charity consultant D’Arcy Myers steps in to replace Anna Hemmings

GamCare has appointed charity sector veteran D’Arcy Myers as its interim CEO.
Myers has been drafted in to replace former CEO Anna Hemmings, who stepped down in June after five years at the helm.
GamCare chair of trustees Margot Daly had been leading the charity following Hemmings’ exit.
GamCare did not disclose how long it expected Myers to remain in the post as interim CEO, with the search for a permanent successor ongoing.
Myers boasts an extensive charity sector CV, having served as CEO of Allergy UK, the Percy Hedley Foundation, the TV and Film Charity and The Solicitors Charity.
He previously served as chair of The Association of Charitable Organisations and the Smallwood Trust.
Touching on his appointment, Myers said: “I am excited to be joining GamCare and supporting our staff and partners in the hugely important work they do.
“I look forward to meeting as many staff, service users and partners as possible in the coming weeks.”
Daly, GamCare chair of trustees, added: “I am delighted to welcome D’Arcy to GamCare. His wide-ranging experience will be invaluable for the organisation at a time of great change for this sector.”
