Gambling Commission confirms 10-person inaugural Industry Forum
Chair Nick Rust joined by representatives from operators, suppliers and consultancy firms as first meeting planned for later this month

The Gambling Commission (GC) has finalised a 10-person Industry Forum that includes representatives from Flutter, Entain and Rank Group.
The Industry Forum, which was announced in September, will be chaired by former British Horseracing Authority CEO, Nick Rust.
Rust’s appointment was confirmed in November, with the chair now joined by nine other forum members.
Those fellow members include Rank Group director of public affairs David Williams and Betfred head of media Mark Pearson.
Joining the comms specialists on the forum is former William Hill head and founder of Betsmart Consulting Kirsty Caldwell and g.games founder Helen Walton.
Flutter will be represented by director of compliance and AML Ashley Padgett, while Entain’s customer operations director Leo Walker also has a spot.
Department of Trust founder Charles Cohen, Britbet MD Nigel Roddis and Merkur UK director of public and politic relations Tony Boulton make up the remaining members.
The group will hold its first meeting on 21 March, where members will begin working on sharing insight and expertise with the GC.
Rust said: “We had more than 40 applications from across the gambling industry from people wanting to take an active role in the inaugural Industry Forum.
“It was difficult to leave quite a few of those people out but I’m delighted with the quality and experience of the appointees, and hope, as a group, we can offer perspectives from across all parts of the industry which the Commission can draw upon to help evolve and improve its performance as the regulator,” he added.
