FuboTV open to offering sports betting
Streaming platform keen to expand reach having inked FanDuel deal in 2019

Live sports streaming service fuboTV is open to cashing in on the burgeoning sports betting market in the US.
The over-the-top (OTT) platform, which was founded in 2015, airs action from the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS and other international competitions.
Group CEO David Gandler said a move to offer sports betting would greatly improve fan engagement.
Speaking to Barron’s after fuboTV went live on the New York Stock Exchange, Gandler said: “We think we can enhance the viewing experience with wagering. It’s an area of increasing interest [and we are] looking at options.”
While Gandler has expressed an interest in potentially venturing into the industry, EGR understands that there is not a concrete strategy in place at this moment in time.
In 2019, fuboTV sealed a partnership with FanDuel in a move which saw odds and data integrated into certain channels on the streaming platform.
At the time, fuboTV VP of business development Min Kim said: “Gaming and sports are natural complements, and fuboTV’s industry-leading product offerings will be further enriched with FanDuel’s innovative entertainment solutions.”
