Streaming service taps Carl Sottosanti to oversee compliance committee ahead of launch of Fubo Gaming

FuboTV has appointed former Penn National Gaming (PNG) exec Carl Sottosanti as its gaming compliance committee chair for its new sports betting venture.
Sottosanti will also sit on the board of directors of the Fubo Gaming subsidiary and has joined the firm ahead of the launch of Fubo Sportsbook in Q4 2021.
Sottosanti spent more than 17 years with PNG, originally joining the operator in May 2003 as deputy general counsel before becoming general counsel and secretary in February 2014.
During his time with PNG, Sottosanti focused primarily on M&A efforts and oversaw both the Barstool Sports and Pinnacle Entertainment acquisitions.
Prior to joining PNG, Sottosanti spent five years as general counsel at Sanchez Computer Associates from 1998 to 2003 and four years as assistant general counsel at Salient 3 Communications from 1994 to 1998.
Speaking on Sottosanti’s arrival, fuboTV CEO David Gandler said: “With extensive experience in the gaming industry, including almost 18 years as an executive at Penn National, Carl will bring valuable industry and unique legal and compliance insight to Fubo Gaming.
“I’m looking forward to working with Carl as we set to transform streaming and betting into a combined interactive television experience,” he added.
Sottosanti commented: “I am excited to join Fubo Gaming’s board of directors. Their talented team and unique content and technology will be a potent combination in the growing interactive wagering space.”
