FSTA to rebrand to reflect new gaming focus
Organisation will be called the Fantasy Sports & Gaming Association as from April

The Fantasy Sports Trade Association (FSTA) has announced plans to change its name to reflect its expanded focus on betting and gaming.
The organisation will be called the Fantasy Sports & Gaming Association (FSGA) as from April.
According to the group, the name change will better enable it to “expand its mission to include all the new markets emerging in sports,” including sports betting, games of skills and non-sports contests.
“We see a need for an association of companies that not only offer fantasy sports, but also emerging gaming opportunities,” said FSTA president Paul Charchian.
“Non-sports fantasy games, eSports and sports betting have gameplay similarities, shared vendors, shared customers and shared legal goals. “We will build on our 21-year track record of helping to grow the businesses within these industries.”
Several DFS-focused sites have already begun the pivot to sports betting, including RotoGrinders which acquired poker affiliate PocketFives and created the RG Network.
The debut event of the FSGA will be its June 27-28 Summer Conference in New York City.
