Former Relax Gaming CEO launches advisory firm
Simon Hammon unveils Hammon Advisory to support companies across multiple verticals after announcing in April that he was resigning from his role as Relax Gaming boss
Former Relax Gaming CEO Simon Hammon has launched his own advisory firm, Hammon Advisory, six months after stepping down as the supplier’s boss.
Hammon Advisory will be offering consultations and board services to the igaming sector, focusing on companies that want to grow or adapt to the “increasingly competitive environment”, Hammon said.
The launch of the advisory business comes after Hammon left Kindred-owned Relax Gaming earlier this year and was replaced by Martin Stålros.
Hammon first joined Relax Gaming in January 2018 as chief product officer before his promotion to CEO four years later.
He held the CEO role for two years but announced his departure in April, staying with the firm until October to complete the handover process.
Explaining why he was leaving, Hammon said at the time that he had “completed what I set out to do” and called the decision “difficult”.

Prior to joining Relax Gaming, Hammon spent seven years with NetEnt, originally joining as a product manager in February 2011.
He was then promoted to chief product officer in August 2011 before his departure six years later.
Announcing the launch of his Gibraltar-based advisory firm on LinkedIn, Hammon detailed what the company’s aims will be and how he can help gaming businesses.
Hammon said: “Today I am happy to announce that I am launching Hammon Advisory which is something that I have always wanted to be in the position to do.
“I have built my career in this industry and it’s one I immensely enjoy due to its constantly changing dynamics and would love to share my knowledge to help guide where I can.
“I aim to work with companies across the spectrum of the online gaming industry that have a passion for growth and could benefit from my experience,” he added.
