Former PokerStars directors to launch Kambi-powered sportsbook
Morten Tonnesen and José del Pino to launch BetWarrior across Europe and Latin America in H2 2019

Former PokerStars directors Morten Tonnesen and José del Pino are planning to launch a new online sportsbook across Europe and Latin America after signing a multi-year partnership with Kambi.
The BetWarrior betting product is scheduled to launch across a number of regulated markets in H2 2019 once the Kambi sportsbook has been integrated into BetWarrior’s Omega Core platform.
According to the two founders, the BetWarrior product will use innovative technology to put the player at the centre of the action.
“This includes leveraging the latest machine learning and artificial intelligence tools to create a truly personalised experience for every customer,” BetWarrior co-founder and CEO Morten Tonnesen said.
“By partnering with Kambi, we gain access to flexible sportsbook technology that enables us to deliver upon our vision.”
Tonnesen was group marketing director at PokerStars for almost three years between 2014 and 2017, while del Pino was director of group marketing at The Stars Group for a little over a year until January 2018.
BetWarrior offers a full suite of gaming products and will use a data-led approach to deliver “localised and personalised gaming experiences”.
Kambi CEO Kristian Nylén added: “The Kambi Sportsbook lends itself to those with the imagination and capability to innovate and deliver truly unique and personalised sports betting experiences to their players.
“In BetWarrior we have partnered with a visionary operator and experienced management team with vast experience of European and LatAm markets that plans to do just that.”
