Former GiG director of sports joins Coolbet
Endre Nesset relocates to Tallinn after four-month absence from online betting sector

Former Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) director of sports Endre Nesset has joined Coolbet in the same position.
Nesset spent four years at GiG in Malta, starting out as head of fantasy in 2016 before being promoted to head of sports and then director of sports.
He left the B2B supplier in April, shortly after GiG reduced its Norway-based sportsbook pricing team after selling its B2C assets to Betsson.
Nesset relocated to the Estonian capital in July and started his new role at Coolbet on 1 August, where he will be part of the senior management team reporting into CEO Anders Karlsen.
Coolbet describes itself as ‘The Last Bookmaker’ and focuses on proprietary pricing without the use of third-party feeds.
“Our biggest USP is our pricing,” Nesset told EGR. “If you look at any of the odds comparison sites, we more often than not stand out.
“Due to this approach we are able to handle sharp players in a much better way and trade their positions accordingly.
“We are going against the current, where everything seems to be more and more generated by feeds,” he added.
Coolbet, founded in 2015, has received financial backing from Tim Heath’s venture capital fund Vereeni Investments.
Tim Heath is the CEO of Coingaming Group, a crypto-centric online gambling operator also based in Tallinn. Coingaming Group finished in 28th place in 2019’s EGR Power 50 rankings.
