Former bet365 editorial chief moves to Yolo Group as global head of content and SEO
James Clark joins crypto-centric operator after leaving the igaming industry at the start of the year, marking his return to the sector after four months away

Yolo Group has appointed former bet365 head of editorial content James Clark as its new global head of content and SEO.
Clark spent three years with bet365, initially joining as sports and betting news manager in January 2022 before being named head of editorial content in February 2023.
In the latter role, he was responsible for content strategies and operations at the operator and relocated to Gibraltar to work alongside chief digital officer Chris Taylor.
He was also responsible for bet365’s “global editorial positioning and tone of voice”.
At the start of 2025, Clark left bet365 to join creative agency Rise at Seven, but after four months outside of the gambling industry has made a return with Yolo Group.
Before bet365, Clark spent nearly a decade with ITV in a number of positions including as a sports reporter, presenter and lead producer for the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
At Yolo Group, the ex-bet365 head will be tasked with leading strategy and operational development across several departments for brands Sportsbet.io and Bitcasino.io.
Announcing his new job in the igaming sector on LinkedIn, Clark said: “I’m thrilled to have accepted an incredibly exciting opportunity back in the igaming industry as the new global head of content and SEO at Yolo Group.
“It’s a real honour to be leading the strategic and operational development across content, SEO, social media, video production and community for Sportsbet.io and Bitcasino.io.”
Clark’s appointment comes a month after Yolo Entertainment promoted three senior staffers to its C-suite.
Ashley Abela Hardy stepped into the chief product and technology officer role, Shane Anderson was named chief brand officer and Laura Nash took the reins of the newly created chief data officer position.
