Flutter UK and Ireland secures new chief people officer from HSBC
Cheryl Bosi heads to gambling industry for first time after lengthy HR career across the banking sector

Flutter Entertainment has named banking stalwart Cheryl Bosi as the firm’s new chief people officer for its UK and Ireland division.
Bosi joins the operator from HSBC where she served as head of HR for the bank’s UK division between October 2020 and March 2024.
During her time with HSBC, Bosi developed a new inclusion strategy which focused on respect, representation and reputation.
Prior to heading to HSBC, Bosi spent six years with Lloyds Banking Group across a series of HR roles in operations, insurance and retail banking.
The new Flutter exec also had spells with Virgin Money and Northern Rock during her HR career.
Flutter said Bosi’s experience would bring “valuable insights to the way we work here at Flutter UK and Ireland”.
The operator added: “Cheryl’s achievements include developing and leading the overall global hybrid proposition, transforming performance management and driving new and thoughtful inclusion strategies.”
Speaking on her move, Bosi said: “The ambition, people and culture at Flutter UK and Ireland really stood out to me. I’m excited to be working in a new industry and look forward to everything I’m going to learn along the way.
“I’m also looking forward to gaining further personal growth, new skills and helping to build and lead a first-class HR team who are integral to the commercial success of the business. I also love to have fun at work and believe Flutter will be a great fit for me.
“Thank you for the warmest welcome to all the well-wishers I’ve had so far,” she added.
