Flutter signs “significant” horseracing commercial rights deal
Multi-year rights deal agreed with three of Britain’s largest racecourse operators

Flutter Entertainment has agreed a multi-million-pound, multi-year commercial rights deal with three of Britain’s largest horserace course operators.
The London-listed operator has agreed the deal with Arena Racing Company (ARC), The Racing Partnership (TRP) and At The Races (ATR).
The deal will cover all elements of Flutter’s horseracing business, including its UK retail and online segments as well as operations in the US and Australia.
A new online streaming agreement between Flutter and ATR has been signed which will allow punters to access live data from ARC and TRP courses as well as Ascot, Chester and Bangor.
The companies did not disclose terms of the agreement, but tracks have been pushing for payments based on turnover on their races rather than fixed costs.
Peter Jackson Flutter CEO said the “landmark” agreement with ARC and ATR signifies the firms ongoing commitment to the worldwide horseracing industry.
“This wide-reaching deal also demonstrates our commitment to provide the best possible racing experience for our customers, through all possible media channels and across all our brands,” Jackson said.
As part of the new deal, Flutter will look at developing new ways to broadcast racing to punters across its major brands, Betfair, Paddy Power, Sportsbet, FanDuel and TVG.
The retail element of the deal will include TRP’s UK horseracing portfolio as well as Australian and South African horseracing. British greyhound racing from Greyhound Media Group tracks is also included within the deal.
Martin Cruddace, ARC CEO said the deal would ensure a “strong and healthy” online betting industry asserting this was essential to the future of British Racing.
“We look forward to working closely with Flutter to make sure that we continue to provide a competitive and relevant product that appeals to the customers in all areas of its business,” Cruddace said.
Matthew Imi, ATR CEO added: “We have enjoyed a long and successful relationship with Flutter across its leading customer brands and look forward to developing this further by working together to maximise betting turnover on our horseracing product.”
