Flutter promotes from within for trading operations and transformation director role
Joe Petyt moves up from Sky Betting & Gaming subsidiary following over a decade with the Leeds-based operator
Flutter Entertainment has appointed Joe Petyt as its new director of trading operations and transformation, following a 14-year stint with Sky Betting & Gaming (SBG).
Petyt originally joined the Flutter-owned brand in 2008 as a football trader and, four years later in 2012, shifted to football desk manager.
This was followed by a move to become an in-play football manager in April 2015. Petyt’s final role at Leeds-based SGB was as the head of in-play football.
In a post on LinkedIn, Petyt said: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as trading operations and transformation director at Flutter Entertainment.”
This is the latest in a series of comings and goings from both Flutter and SBG. Last week, Flutter’s UK&I director of infrastructure Dermot Hennessy stepped away from the London-listed operator after an 11-year-spell across the Paddy Power and Flutter.
And last week, SBG’s head of commercial gaming, Mike White, left after eight years with the firm. Last month, Paddy Power Betfair head of racing Will De Nardo also departed.
These changes are a part of Flutter’s restructuring of its UK & Ireland business.
