Flutter opens new Global Capability Centre in India with $3.5m investment
FanDuel parent company unveils new hub with an initial 700 staff working across multiple divisions, with plans to raise headcount to 900 by the end of the year

Flutter Entertainment has opened a new technology hub in India, with the operator ploughing an initial $3.5m (£2.7m) investment into growth on the subcontinent.
The Global Capability Centre will be based in Hyderabad, the capital city of the state of Telangana, and will span more than 80,000 sq ft across three floors.
The hub is based at the RMZ Spire in Knowledge City, one of India’s leading tech parks which is already home to Goldman Sachs, Microsoft and Siemens.
The new space will house more than 700 Flutter employees working across data engineering, game integrity services, HR, procurement, safety and security and customer operations.
The company confirmed a recruitment plan was also in place, with the aim to increase headcount to 900 by the end of 2024.
The drive will come from data analytics and engineering roles while Flutter is also targeting to have 40% of leadership positions in the Hyderabad hub occupied by women by 2026.
While Flutter is live in India with its Junglee Games brand, staff at the tech centre will play a “pivotal role” in supporting the group’s global brands.
The New York-listed firm said the new space would help drive the ‘Flutter Edge’ whereby various arms of the company’s tech and product teams cross-pollinate to ensure best practices.
Flutter talked up its eco-friendly credentials following the opening of the hub, with the Global Capability Centre having been gold-certified by the US Green Building Council.
Flutter has also committed to contribute £30,000 to support local initiatives in Hyderabad.
Phil Bishop, Flutter COO, noted the expansion into India represented a “huge milestone” for the operator on its growth journey.
Bishop said: “Our expansion into India marks a huge milestone in Flutter’s growth and shows our continued commitment to investing in top talent to drive business growth globally.
“Through the power of the Flutter Edge, the Hyderabad Global Capability Centre is designed to foster creativity and growth and strengthens our presence in the Indian employment and skills market.”
Ashish Sinha, Flutter India managing director, added: “We are excited to expand our facility in Hyderabad as we continue to strengthen our presence in India.
“We aim to grow while maintaining a challenger mindset and leading the sector globally and India presents a significant opportunity for our business.
“This expansion aligns with our global vision of changing the game by enabling continuous improvement in product and technology across igaming and sports betting across our portfolio of brands.”
In May, Unibet parent company Kindred Group hailed Bengaluru in Karnataka as the “Silicon Valley of India” as the operator continues to see growth following the opening of its own hub last year.
