Flutter names long-term head as new Paddy Power online sports director
Andy Branigan to shift to work on brand after extensive stint with parent company across customer growth roles
Flutter has promoted company stalwart Andy Branigan to become the news sports director for Paddy Power online.
Branigan will shift across the bookmaker after serving as head of customer growth for Flutter since September 2022.
Branigan, who joined Betfair as a graduate back in 2012, rose up the ranks at the betting exchange to become commercial finance manager in 2015 before the merger between the brand and Paddy Power saw him take on a new role.
He was named finance business partner of the combined company in May 2016 and later promoted to senior performance manager for Betfair Gaming in April 2018.
Moving on, he became head of performance and operations for Paddy Power Betfair in October 2019 before being appointed to his position of head of customer growth and P&L for Flutter in March 2021.
Taking to LinkedIn, Branigan said: “I’m delighted to share that I’m starting a new role as sports director for Paddy Power Online at Flutter Entertainment.
“If you had asked me 10 years ago to name my dream role, this would have been it.
“Proud to have made it happen, excited for the challenge ahead, and grateful for the opportunities Flutter continues to provide,” he added.
