Flutter Entertainment rebrands PokerStars VR to Vegas Infinite
Nearly five years on from its initial launch, the rebrand aims to overhaul the operator’s free-to-play social casino video game

Flutter Entertainment has announced it has rebranded PokerStars VR to Vegas Infinite.
The free-to-play game was created by PokerStars in 2018, before Flutter’s acquisition of the firm in 2021, and offered players the opportunity to play at a virtual poker table with their friends and chat and interact with different environments.
Following the acquisition, the product’s development has accelerated using Flutter’s strategy of cross-sharing product and tech capabilities throughout the group.
The operator announced the rebrand brings in a “brand-new and bespoke 3D virtual cityscape for players to enjoy” with personal player suites, luxury casinos and exclusive rooftop escapes. Flutter also said the game will soon be accessible to PC gamers without a headset, joining existing SteamVR and Meta Quest VR users.
Vegas Infinite offers blackjack, roulette, slots, craps, Rocket Rush and poker titles Spin & Go, multi-table tournaments and the flagship poker tournament series, the Metaverse Poker Tour.
The new cityscape will include dressing rooms, a luxury casino floor in Casino One, The Gallery, exclusive to high-rollers and The Rooftop, which is a subscriber-only rooftop to view the cityscape.
Vegas Infinite also uses an AI live chat monitoring tool to assist its moderation team, as well as a variety of safety tools, which include time out, spending limits, player reports and customising the level of interaction with other players.
James O’Reilly, PokerStars director of VR and innovation, said: “As we approach our fifth anniversary, it’s incredible to think how far our game has come.
“From a cutting-edge experiment in applying virtual reality to the poker table, we’ve grown to become a living entertainment destination with a full suite of games and experiences played in otherworldly environments that are home to an avid community of players.
“Today, we’re much more than poker and much more than VR. Vegas Infinite is where we’re taking our players next, and there’s lots more in store,” O’Reilly concluded.
This rebrand comes as estimates show that the VR market size is expected to be worth around $113.6bn (£90.7bn) by 2032.
This figure comes from Precedence Research, who valued the current VR market to be worth $30.6bn and it is expected to grow at a CAGR rate of 14% during the forecast period 2023 to 2032.
This growth is being attributed to the development of better and cheaper VR hardware, which has made the technology more accessible to consumers.
