
Flutter Entertainment names ex-PokerStars exec as group head of poker performance
Ben Akrigg moves back to the parent company after a year with subsidiary PokerStars


Flutter Entertainment has brought Ben Akrigg on as its new head of poker performance and analytics following a year away with PokerStars.
Akrigg had previously spent seven years with the London-listed operator as its senior commercial finance manager for its International division, before spending a year with subsidiary PokerStars as its business manager.
Before his first stint with Flutter, he spent five years at financial services company Moore Stephens and a year with betinternet.com.
In a post on LinkedIn, Akrigg said: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as head of poker performance and analytics at Flutter International.”
This is the latest in a slew of staff changes at Flutter following an announcement in August that it would be restructuring its UK and Ireland (UK&I) business.
This week, the Dublin-headquartered operator promoted Joe Petyt from its Sky Betting & Gaming (SBG) subsidiary to fill the trading operations and transformation director role at the parent company
Last week, SBG’s head of commercial gaming, Mike White, left afer eight years with the firm, and Flutter’s UK&I director of infrastructure Dermot Hennessy left after an 11-year spell across Paddy Power and Flutter.
Last month, Paddy Power Betfair head of racing Will De Nardo departed after almost a decade with Flutter Entertainment-associated brands.
