Flutter associate director steps down after 22 years in the industry
Louise Amos began her industry career at William Hill in 1996 and claimed she is taking a break but is "not ready for retirement yet"

Flutter Entertainment’s associate director of portfolio, planning and product for PokerStars Sports, Louise Amos, has announced she is to step aside to take “some time out to enjoy life”.
Amos, who started working in the gambling industry at William Hill in 1996, took to LinkedIn to say: “I’m sad to say after 22 amazing years working for Surrey Sports/Sky Bet/The Stars Group and now Flutter, I’ve decided it’s time to have a break, spend some time with the family and in the new year, see where the world takes me.”
Following almost four years at Hills in its contact centre while at university, Amos moved to BSkyB in June 2000 working for Sky Betting and Gaming (SBG) as head of customer operations, a position she held for close to 14 years working through the merger with Surrey Sports in July 2000.
Amos remained with SBG following the 2015 sale of 80% of the company to CVC Capital Partners, working in a number of leading roles including head of business improvements (February 2014 to July 2015), head of customer experience (July 2015 to June 2017), head of product (June 2017 to August 2018) and finally the role of business architect from July 2018 until the company was acquired by The Stars Group.
Following that, she worked for a year and two months as head of account management at The Stars Group before Flutter Entertainment’s acquisition of the company, where Amos continued to work for two years at PokerStars.
She continued her LinkedIn post saying: “It has been an unbelievable journey with so many highs, a couple of lows, but I wouldn’t change a thing.
“Every part of my journey has taught me something and made me who I am today. From starting as a supervisor in the call centre for Surrey Sports, to running the contact centre for Sky Bet. Moving to set up the communications team and then into product. Then my final role as the AD of portfolio, planning and product at PokerStars Sports.”
Amos concluded her post by saying:” I’m not sure I’m quite ready for retirement yet but will see how the next six months goes.”
