Flutter and Sisal integration lead heads to Turkish JV as strategy chief
Portia Walker heads out to Istanbul as chief strategy officer of Italian firm’s lottery joint venture

Flutter Entertainment has named Portia Walker as the new chief strategy officer for its Turkish joint venture between Sisal and Demirören Holding, Sisal Şans.
Walker, previously served as integration director between Flutter and Sisal following the FTSE 100 firm’s £1.62bn acquisition of the Italian giant.
Walker, a former BBC journalist and chief of staff to Flutter CEO Peter Jackson, is now based in Istanbul as part of her new role.
She transitioned from her integration role to Sisal Şans in March.
Sisal Şans is a JV between Sisal (49%) and Turkish media giant Demirören’s Sans Digital subsidiary (51%).
In September 2019, Sisal Şans won the Turkish National Lottery tender on a 10-year term.
The JV beat out competition from IGT, Allwyn and Intralot and began running the Turkish lottery from May 2020.
The Turkish lottery tender followed contracts wins in Morocco and Spain for Sisal.
In February, Sisal also secured the contract to manage sports betting in Morocco for La Marocaine des Jeux et des Sports.
