Fitzdares awarded online licence in Ontario
Premium bookmaker to create members’ club in Toronto to complement London and Cheltenham establishments
Fitzdares has received a licence to bring its services to the soon-to-be-regulated Ontario market.
The exclusive, London-based operator was awarded its iGaming Operator Registration from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and will join a raft of other firms entering the new legal market.
Fitzdares confirmed it will go live with its product in the summer, subject to the execution of the operating agreement with regulatory body iGaming Ontario and other final approvals.
After the UK and Ireland, Ontario will become just the third market where Fitzdares offers real-money gambling.
Prospective Fitzdares customers are able to pre-register their interest and receive launch updates.
Additionally, Fitzdares will also open its third members’ club, The Fitzdares Club, and its first in North America, in Toronto to be precise, at some point next year.
The Toronto club will join the London and Cheltenham venues in Fitzdares’ portfolio of permanent and pop-up luxury venues.
William Woodhams, Fitzdares CEO, said: “We are truly excited to be launching the Fitzdares experience in Ontario in the coming months. Receiving our AGCO licence is a landmark achievement for the business.
“There will be huge competition in this newly-regulated market, but we feel our more premium and customer-focused experience will be an ideal fit. Work is very much underway to ensure that we deliver on our promise – in style,” he added.
Besides a betting website and app, Fitzdares offers telephone betting in a bid to provide a more personal service for its clients.
The regulated Ontario market is set to go live on 4 April.
