FanDuel unveiled as WTA’s first authorized gaming operator
Flutter-owned brand to stream video highlights as women’s professional tennis body hails “milestone” partnership

The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) has named FanDuel as an authorized gaming operator for North, South, and Central America.
The tie-up means FanDuel will air video highlights of WTA matches, the first time a women’s sport will have clips across the operator’s digital platforms and sportsbooks.
The sports betting and DFS giant will have access to the WTA’s trademarks and scoring data from the sport’s official data supplier, Stats Perform.
It was also revealed that FanDuel will collaborate with the WTA to promote safe and responsible gaming, while the WTA has joined the National Council on Problem Gambling.
Micky Lawler, WTA’s president, said: “FanDuel is a premier destination for sports fans online and this relationship provides the building blocks for growing our fan base.
“This milestone not only delivers on the growing appetite fans have for a more personalized sporting experience, but also paves the way for us to have a proactive role in managing the responsible gambling standards and practices we wish to foster.”
Amy Howe, president and interim CEO of FanDuel since Matt King’s departure in May, commented: “Aligning with the WTA – the global leader in women’s professional sports – is consistent with our overall mission to elevate the profile for talented women in sports.
“We are delighted to partner with such a prestigious organization.”
CSM, the WTA’s sponsorship agency of record, helped broker the deal with FanDuel, the number one online sports betting brand by market share in the US.
On August 10, FanDuel’s majority owner, Flutter Entertainment, announced that pro forma H1 revenue leapt 159% year on year.
This growth was spearheaded by FanDuel, which accounted for 93% of Flutter’s total US revenue in the first half of 2021.
