
FanDuel takes top spot in Pennsylvania in first full month of operation
Valley Forge Casino leads the market in the Keystone State with online gross earnings of $2m


Pennsylvania sportsbook operators have reported a triple-digit month-on-month rise in betting revenues in August, with FanDuel taking over the top spot in the market.
Statewide gross betting revenues hit a new high of $6.1m, with a mobile to retail split of 42% to 58%, despite only four of the nine licensed operators offering a digital product.
The Keystone State’s overall handle for the month was $109m, up 83.8% on the previous month.
FanDuel led the market on the Valley Forge Casino license in its first full month of operation.
The operator booked $37.8m in wagers – around 35% of the total – with 93% coming online, and generating $2m in gross online revenue.
Parx Casino was second with $500,982, while SugarHouse Casino came in third with $415,290 online.
On the retail side, SugarHouse saw revenues of $816,768, while Parx came in second with $722,945.
Elsewhere New Jersey’s August revenues came in at $25.2m on $293.6m in handle.
Iowa reported its first full month of betting in August, posting earnings of $2.2m across 19 venues. Mobile made up only 20% of the total.
