FanDuel seals official PGA Tour betting partnership
New York-based operator signs content and marketing deal with leading golf body

FanDuel has put pen to paper on a multi-year agreement with the PGA Tour to become an official betting partner for the golf organisation.
The Flutter Entertainment-owned business will be afforded access to PGA Tour trademarks and advertising opportunities across Tour media and partner platforms.
FanDuel customers will also be able to access highlights from Tour events, with FanDuel also receiving content and video rights to create pre- and post-game betting programming.
Finally, FanDuel and the PGA Tour will collaborate to deliver odds-based content to fans across digital platforms including the PGA Tour website and mobile app.
Mike Raffensperger, FanDuel chief marketing officer, cited a growing interest in golf betting as a key reason for the agreement, having seen FanDuel’s total golf handle in New Jersey for 2020 surpass the total golf handle for 2019 already.
Raffensperger said: “Golf interest is up on FanDuel, so we are excited to deepen our relationship with the PGA Tour. We will now be able to offer unique gaming experiences on our platform, special Tour-related promotions for our customers and an enhanced content experience across the Tour’s properties.”
Norb Gambuzza, SVP of media and gaming for the PGA Tour, said: “We have long admired FanDuel’s brand, product and marketing strategies as well as the leadership position it has taken since the legalisation of sports betting in 2018.
“We are excited to bring FanDuel into the PGA Tour’s Official Betting Operator programme as we continue to engage new fans in this rapidly growing space,” he added.
The PGA Tour was quick to pounce on the sports betting opportunity in the US and has been embedding gambling content across its platforms since 2019.
