FanDuel ignites $80m customer acquisition and retention drive
US powerhouse offers $10 site credit to both new and existing consumers in latest loyalty push

FanDuel is giving US consumers $10 in site credit to encourage action on its sports betting site following the resumption of several US sports.
The campaign will see more than $80m (£63m) in site credit awarded to players, who have until 2 August to spend the credit before it is voided.
Credits will be provided to customers via FanDuel DFS site credit or FanDuel sportsbook site credit.
There are no state restrictions and the offer is available to both new and existing customers.
The promotion will be accompanied by an ad campaign, with a new TV commercial launching today.
In addition, FanDuel is offering up to a day of risk-free betting totalling $100 from 21 July to 2 August.
Speaking about the new promotion, FanDuel CMO Mike Raffensperger said: “We are excited for the return of sports and wanted to give all of our customers a chance to get in on the action for free.
“Putting more than $80m in site credits into customer accounts to enter DFS contests or to make legal sports bets is a thank you to our customers for their loyalty during this long stretch without the NBA, NHL and MLB,” he added.
Golf’s PGA Tour was one of the first sports to resume following the coronavirus lockdown in June, with no spectators allowed to attend and strict social distancing and testing in place for players.
The NBA is primed to resume on 30 July, followed closely by the NHL on 1 August, while the NFL season is scheduled to begin on 11 September.
