Fanatics Betting & Gaming appoints new director of new markets and product compliance
Lauren Lemmer joins the apparel giant from Tennessee-based sports betting challenger Wagr ahead of wagering roadmap

Fanatics has bolstered its betting and gaming arm with the appointment of Lauren Lemmer as its new director of new markets and product compliance.
Lemmer joins the firm from sports betting newcomer Wagr, where she was chief compliance officer and head of operations since April 2022. She also held the role of compliance/AML director when she joined the firm in June 2021.
The role at Wagr was Lemmer’s first in the igaming industry.
Lemmer joined Wagr from the United Services Automobile Association, where she spent just under three-and-a-half years as an AML compliance manager and KYC compliance risk manager.
She also had spells at Rabobank, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and Associated Students Inc.
Lemmer said: “I’ve just joined Fanatics Betting & Gaming as their director of new markets and product compliance. I couldn’t be more excited to join at one of the most exciting times to join.
This is Fanatics’ third hire in two months as it appointed two new staffers for its sports betting arm.
The first came at the back end of August as the firm nabbed former FanDuel senior director of partner relations Andrew Kleiman to be its new VP of retail.
The other hire was former MTV exec Jason White as its new chief marketing officer.
This recruitment drive comes as CEO Michael Rubin expressed his intention to take bets on US sports by the end of the year, which would build the global sports retailer into a one-stop shop for sports betting and apparel.
