Exclusive: William Hill appoints new chief tech and product officer
Former McKinsey partner Satty Bhens will be based in New Jersey having led the development of the firm’s new US technology platform
William Hill has appointed partner for consultancy firm McKinsey & Company Satty Bhens as its new US-based chief technology and product officer, EGR can reveal.
Bhens led the recent development of Hills’ US technology platform which went live in New Jersey last month.
Prior to the new role, he spent 17 years at McKinsey & Company as the leader of its McKinsey Digital Labs entity.
The move is part of a wider senior management restructuring to reflect the recent promotion of former chief digital officer (CDO) Ulrik Bengtsson to group CEO.
Bhens will report to Bengtsson and be based out of the firm’s New Jersey office, as the operator increases its focus on the US sports betting, and will include responsibility for product and data.
Following his promotion, Bengtsson opted to split his former CDO role into a COO and chief technology and product officer position.
Director of customer operations Philip Le Feurve will take on the COO role on an interim basis.
CEO Joe Asher will remain in his position as CEO of William Hill US.
