Conning will join an existing HR team which includes Tijana Kovacevici as VP of people for technology staff and Cezary Lewandowski as VP of people for non-tech staff.
Superbet said the development of a leading HR strategy and the appointment of Conning, as a “natural and necessary step”.
Speaking on his arrival, Conning said: “I am delighted to join such a dynamic organisation, which values courage and innovation. I was convinced by the authentic leadership style of Johnny Hartnett [CEO] and the inspirational vision of Sacha Dragic [founder].
“While discussing with them, I understood that I will be part of a successful business, characterised by a progressive way of thinking and which is experiencing an ongoing period of exponential growth,” he added.
Touching on Conning’s arrival, Dragic added: “Together with Johnny Hartnett, we are searching for a healthy balance between agile teams and business leaders who bring their experience of working in large multinational structures.
“We want to be better organised, without losing the entrepreneurial dynamic that defines us. Currently we find ourselves in a moment of strong growth and this motivates us to develop an ambitious human resource strategy, which will be led by Shaun Conning, our new chief of people,” he added.
