Exclusive: SG:certified recruits former Kindred head of responsible gambling
Maris Catania links up with compliance provider following 14-year spell with Swedish operator
SG:certified has appointed former Kindred Group head of responsible gambling Maris Catania as the firm’s new safer gambling senior consultant, EGR can exclusively reveal.
Catania joins the compliance platform provider after 14 years with Kindred, where she was pivotal in driving the Swedish firm’s responsible gambling (RG) drive.
In her new role with SG:certified, Catania will play a key role in developing content for SG:certified on safer gambling issues.
This content will include training, assessments, recommendations of best practices, benchmarking and research digests.
Speaking on linking up with SG:certified, Catania said: “I’m really excited to join such an experienced [and] passionate team. SG:certified’s company ethos is to do well and make a great social impact, which is something I always try to live by in my personal life.
“So, this company was a natural fit for me. I can’t wait to get started and help other companies get the benefits of the platform and build out safer gambling processes resulting in the implementation of better SG strategies,” she added.
Laura Da Silva, SG:certified CEO, heaped praise on Catania as she welcome the industry stalwart.

Catania becomes the latest addition to the senior SG:certfifed team following the appointment of Svend Aage Kirk as a partner late last year.
