Exclusive: Mr Green co-founder Mikael Pawlo makes egaming comeback
Pawlo joins Sweden-facing online casino operator Mandalorian Technologies as chairman after three-year industry hiatus

Mr Green co-founder and former CEO Mikael Pawlo has made a return to the online gaming industry having joined online casino operator Mandalorian Technologies as chairman, EGR can reveal.
Pawlo, who founded Mr Green in 2008 alongside Fredrik Sidfalk and Henrik Bergquist, became chairman of Malta-based Mandalorian Technologies in recent weeks after approximately three years out of the industry.
Mandalorian, which operates brands including No Account Casino, was founded last year by Marcus Lilliehöök and partners and is currently led by LeoVegas’ former finance director Matthew Bonnici as CEO.
“James Bond was never in it for the bonuses and we are entering a new phase in the igaming industry where technology matters a lot and you need to run a sustainable business with very high licence and player protection standards,” Pawlo told EGR Intel.
“Players have very strong emotions and feelings about the game, however the industry seems to communicate price and bonuses alone. We will try to bring the fun back in gaming in a responsible fashion,” he added.

Mandalorian Technologies currently holds a Swedish licence for its noaccountcasino.com and prankcasino.com domains and on its website claims its founders “basically invented” the Pay&Play and no account casino experience.
“The industry is changing about every five years with technological and regulatory leaps,” Pawlo said.
He added: “For this new phase where player protection and advertising modesty are crucial part of any sustainable business and where gaming tax is a necessary part of the business you need to be able to wing it with your own, strong proprietary technology and a very high standard of player protection.
“If you don’t put the player first, you have no business in this industry in 2019.”
Pawlo left his role as CEO and co-founder of Mr Green in summer 2015 and ceased to be a board member in 2016, remaining a shareholder in the company until the recent acquisition of the operator by William Hill.
In August 2015 he co-founded machine learning company Red Flag where he remains CEO.
