Exclusive: Maxima Compliance hires former Evolution head as VP of services
Sergio Suarez joins consultancy as corporate shift ushers in umbrella company ComplianceOne Group
Maxima Compliance has appointed Sergio Suarez as its new VP of technical compliance services to help lead the technical compliance services unit.
Suarez will work alongside Maxima Compliance VP of technical implementation services Catalin Zaha.
Suarez joins the London-based compliance consultancy following a near-two-year stint at Evolution, where he was the live casino supplier’s head of technical compliance.
Before that, he worked for almost a decade at GLI Europe. Suarez spent time as a test engineer and a compliance engineer before eventually graduating to senior compliance engineer ahead of his move to Evolution.
Suarez’s appointment comes a month after Maxima Compliance announced that it was to undertake a broad-base readjustment of its operational model to become a product-led organisation with hived-off B2B and B2C departments.
This has led to Maxima Compliance becoming part of a larger group of compliance brands called ComplianceOne Group.
ComplianceOne Group will bring together several compliance brands operating in the igaming industry, including Maxima Compliance, DatavaultONE and the newly created Diligence in Gaming.
Antonio Zanghi, Maxima Compliance CEO, said: “The hiring of Sergio is the finalisation of months of hard work in which we have analysed the best way to service our different clients’ needs.
“The addition of Sergio to our technical compliance services team means that our clients can further rely on us taking care of technical compliance-related matters while knowing that ComplianceOne Group can assist in all the areas of compliance with specific, local and expert knowledge.”
Suarez commented: “I am excited to join Maxima at this crucial point of its life. The company’s mission to support clients in the difficult task of managing technical compliance globally is the perfect fit for me.”
