Jahan Jahanshahi joins Malta operator after a nine month search for the right candidate

Ex-Kindred head of R&D and chief architect Jahan Jahanshahi has joined Casumo as its chief technology officer, EGR has learned.
Jahanshahi takes over from interim CTO Mark Busuttil who was also appointed as CPO in May 2018.
He spent eight years at Kindred before starting his own consultancy this year, through which he has been assisting Casumo since January.

Prior to that he spent four years at bwin as a system owner and senior systems architect.
Casumo CEO Oscar Simonsson said Jahanshahi was an important appointment for the firm after having spent nine months searching for the right candidate to lead its technology efforts.
“Jahan comes with a wealth of experience in and outside the industry. Whilst working with Jahan on our gaming platform ambitions, both him, the team and all of us immediately felt that it was a great fit,” said Simonsson.
Jahanshahi said: “Casumo is a great company and has achieved more than many of the actors within this industry during its short lifetime.
“I found myself in the company of highly-skilled people who put their heart and souls into delivering great products and fantastic customer experiences.”
Simonsson recently told EGR the Malta-based operator continually updates its platform technology to allow it to scale its operations and develop faster.
Casumo is also in the process of developing its sportsbook product with Kambi after announcing the project last year.
