Ex-Twitch gambling star hits out at slots streaming amid platform review
Dimitri ‘Greekgodx’ Antonato dismisses casino partnerships as “gross” as he becomes latest streamer to weigh in on the debate

A former prominent gambling Twitch streamer has insisted he would have to be “desperate” to partner with an operator again as the debate over online slots streaming rages on.
Dimitri ‘Greekgodx’ Antonato, who has 1.7 million followers on the site, blasted current Twitch creators promoting gambling on their channels as he reflected on his past partnerships.
He said: “Gambling is pretty bad. Would I ever gamble on [a] stream again for money, now I’ve fully woken up? I’d have to be really desperate for money, I’d have to be desperate for money to gamble.
“I’m not that greedy. It’s so easy; it’s like the devil is tempting you with money. ‘Come gamble, come take a sponsorship, you’ll be even richer’.”
However, Antonato stopped short of vowing to never stream gambling again, despite his strong dismissal of the practice.
“It’s just feels gross. Would I do it? I don’t know. I wouldn’t want to right that off just yet,” he added.
Antonato’s comments come after fellow Twitch star Félix ‘xQc’ Lengyel dismissed claims Twitch would ban gambling streams.
Lengyel argued the prevalence of gambling mechanics in several popular titles, including CS:GO and Apex Legends, would mean Twitch would have to remove additional content alongside slots.
Twitch is currently undergoing a review of gambling behaviour on the Amazon-owned platform, which it said it was monitoring “closely to ensure our approach mitigates potential harm to our global community”.
A report published in June found that online slots were more popular than Call of Duty on Twitch.
