Ex-Playmaker Capital CEO joins Better Collective’s VC as a venture partner

Former Playmaker Capital CEO Jordan Gnat has become a limited partner in Better Collective’s investment firm, Dreamcraft Ventures.

Set up by Better Collective co-founders Jesper Søgaard and Christian Kirk Rasmussen in October 2012, Dreamcraft focuses on early stage ventures.

Dreamcraft has previously ploughed capital into various sectors, including fashion, payments, igaming and healthcare.

Gnat joins the firm after Better Collective finalised the €176m deal for Playmaker Capital in February, the Americas-facing media brand Gnat had served as CEO for since 2020.

Gnat was named chair of Better Collective’s Americas advisory board in April and has now tightened his relationship with the Danish giant by joining Dreamcraft.

Dreamcraft said Gnat would leverage his “network and industry expertise to source promising investments, guiding portfolio companies through strategic growth phases and providing valuable mentorship” in his new role.

Gnat previously spent time with Fox Bet and Scientific Games in the US as part of an extensive gaming and media career.

Commenting on the new role, Gnat said: “I have known Jesper and Christian for over five years and they introduced me to the Dreamcraft team and I have been incredibly impressed with their process, discipline and skill set.

“The opportunity to work closely with Carsten [Salling, general partner and investment manager], Daniel [Mariussen, general partner], the team and portfolio companies is very exciting.

“I look forward to introducing new opportunities to the Dreamcraft team and working with incredible entrepreneurs as a venture partner,” he added.
