Ex-Paddy Power Betfair boss heads to IG Group as CEO
Breon Corcoran returns to frontline of industry after departing as boss of payments firm WorldRemit last summer

IG Group has appointed former Paddy Power Betfair boss Breon Corcoran as the group’s new CEO.
Corcoran will join the spread betting firm on 29 January and also become a member of the board, with both appointments subject to regulatory approval.
The Irishman will replace June Felix, who left the firm in the summer due to poor health.
In the interim, the group has been led by chief financial officer Charlie Rozes.
Rozes will continue to lead the business until Corcoran’s arrival in January.
Corcoran, who led both Betfair and Paddy Power Betfair following the mega-merger of the pair back in 2016, most recently served as CEO of payments firm WorldRemit.
He also serves as the non-executive chair of Auction Technology Group.
Speaking on his appointment, Corcoran said: “I am delighted to be joining IG Group. It’s a business I’ve long admired. I look forward to working with the board and executives to build on its current successes.”
Mike McTighe, IG Group chair, added: “I am very pleased to announce Breon’s appointment following a comprehensive global search.
“He is a proven leader of high-performing teams within multinational organisations, with an ability to deliver results for all stakeholders.
“The board is confident that Breon is the right person to lead IG and deliver the next phase of growth. I look forward to working with him.”
