Ex-Kambi and Unibet head joins Huddle as SVP of trading
Supplier adds near 20-year industry veteran Tom Daniel to its ranks with experience in customer intelligence and risk management

Huddle has announced the arrival of Tom Daniel as the automated pricing and trading specialist’s new senior vice-president of trading.
With nearly two decades worth of experience in the industry, Daniel spent just under seven years with Unibet in multiple roles.
Starting off as an odds compiler for golf in March 2005, he soon became a senior trader and spent four-and-a-half years in the role before moving on to head of customer intelligence in January 2011.
Leaving in December that year, he joined Kambi at the start of 2012 in the same role before switching to head of risk and player analytics in November 2015. Subsequently, Daniel was promoted to senior vice-president of risk management in February 2021.
After just a year in that position, he left to become a partner at Propus Partners before moving to Huddle.
Francesco Borgosano, Huddle CEO, described the appointment as “invaluable” and help drive the company towards its long-term vision.
Borgosano said: “I am excited to welcome Tom as our new SVP of trading. His deep understanding of the fundamentals of trading, combined with a forward-thinking approach to leveraging technology and data-driven solutions, makes him an invaluable addition to our team.
“Trading is a pivotal function at Huddle. I am confident that Tom will not only strengthen our capabilities but also help drive the wider organisation towards our long-term vision.”
On his arrival, Daniel commented that it is Huddle’s job to align with operators’ strategies and not the other way around.
Daniel added: “Trading serves as an enabling force for the broader strategic vision operators require. Its purpose isn’t to dictate every strategy but to serve as a conduit through which strategies are realised.
“As suppliers, our duty is to ensure we align with and support operators’ unique strategies. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach, and recognising this is crucial, as many suppliers have learned the hard way.
“Having the opportunity to shape the development of the trading platform from its foundational stages is truly exhilarating. It’s a chance to start from a blank piece of paper.”
Daniel’s arrival follows former KaFe Rocks co-founder Feda Mecan at the start of the year and Tom Dodd becoming the supplier’s head of marketing last June.
