Ex-Kaizen Gaming strategy lead links up with Better Collective
Stockholm-based Petra Zackrisson joins as SVP of growth having held previous roles with Betano parent company and Betsson Group
Better Collective has confirmed the hire of Petra Zackrisson as its new senior vice president of growth as it looks to further scale its business into new and emerging markets.
Zackrisson joins the Copenhagen-based affiliate having spent three-and-a-half years at Kaizen Gaming, firstly as chief corporate development officer and then from September 2020 as chief strategy and business development officer.
She also served in related roles for Malta-based operator Betsson Group until April 2018, including four years as the firm’s chief business development officer and later as a VP of corporate development.
In addition, she is currently a non-executive board member for Casumo.
Zackrisson has worked in management consulting, specialising in international business development and strategy development across various industries.
In her new role, she will be tasked with fuelling local awareness while growing and developing Better Collective Group globally, with a particular focus on emerging markets.
Central to this is to expand the affiliate’s presence through strategic events, a role she currently is supporting and advising the firm on in an external consultant capacity.
Zackrisson will officially start her role on 9 January 2023 and will be based out of Better Collective’s Stockholm office.
Better Collective co-founder and chief operating officer Christian Kirk Rasmussen welcomed the firm’s newest recruit.
“Roughly six months ago we signed Petra as a full-time external consultant for Better Collective, so she already has a deep understanding of our operations and objectives,” Rasmussen said.
“There is no doubt that Petra’s expertise on how to drive growth and implement organisational change will become valuable to Better Collective,” he added.
