Evolution promotes from within for new US CEO
Live casino supplier confirms former US head of operations Jacob Claesson to C-level role

Evolution has promoted its US head of operations Jacob Claesson to the CEO role of its US division.
Claesson has spent more than six-and-a-half years with the live casino heavyweight, beginning with a four-month spell as a key account manager followed by two-and-a-half years as head of integration and delivery.
In November 2017, he moved to become head of operations for Evolution’s Georgia office, where the firm maintains an extensive live casino studio and product development hub.
Claesson was responsible for setting up the Tbilisi studio, one of Evolution’s largest operational hubs, growing the operational space to accommodate close to 6,000 employees within four years.
He then moved on from overseeing operations in Georgia to looking after operational aspects of Evolution’s US-based operations in Philadelphia, where he managed broadcasting studios in the US and Canada as well as expanding the firm’s product portfolio in these markets.
In his new role as CEO of the US division, Claesson will report directly to Evolution global CEO Martin Carlesund.
Addressing his new role as US CEO, Claesson took to LinkedIn to express his delight.
“Very excited and humbled to announce my new position as CEO North America at Evolution. Igaming in North America is still only in its infancy and I am very excited about the opportunities ahead of us!” he enthused.
Prior to joining Evolution, Claesson spent more than four years at Swedish bank and payments provider Klarna in a variety of implementation-based management roles.
He has also spent more than six years as firstly an insurance administrator and then as an office manager for Stockholm-based pension and insurance company Movestic.
