Evoke promotes from within for new director just days after rebrand confirmed
Operator appoints Kizzie Fenner to a director role in the same week as the group's revamp received overwhelming shareholder support

Kizzie Fenner has been named director of UK compliance and regulatory affairs for the recently rebranded evoke, formerly 888.
Fenner joined the company as group legal counsel in February 2021 before rising the ranks to group associate legal counsel in August 2022, until her most recent title of group senior legal counsel from April 2023.
Prior to her time at evoke, Fenner served as associate legal counsel for electronics company Ricoh Europe from December 2018 to January 2021.
That was preceded by a spell as a solicitor for London-based law firm Womble Bond Dickinson from September 2016 to December 2018.
Fenner’s longest tenure in a single role remains her four years as an accredited parliamentary assistant for the European Parliament, based in Brussels, from October 2011 to September 2015.
Taking to LinkedIn to confirm her new role, Fenner wrote: “I am thrilled to announce that I have been promoted to the role of director of UK compliance and regulatory affairs at evoke (formerly known as 888holdings and William Hill).
“Leading our UK compliance function during this transformative period for our company, amidst significant legal and regulatory changes, is a huge privilege. I am grateful to be joining a remarkable team of highly talented colleagues, and I know that we will succeed together.”
Kizzie later thanked those who helped oversee her promotion, before adding: “I am looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead and am excited to embrace this new opportunity.”
Evoke’s rebrand from 888 was confirmed on 13 May, when more than 99% of shareholders backed the special resolution and only 0.21% voted against it.
It has been a period of significant change for the group in recent months. Per Widerström was named as evoke CEO in October 2023 and has since gone about putting together his senior leadership team.
Both Widerström and evoke CFO Sean Wilkins received shareholder backing to become directors at the company.
