Evoke appoints former Zeal CTO as an independent non-executive director
Technology veteran Susan Standiford joins 888 and William Hill parent company to also sit on its audit and risk committee

Evoke has appointed ex-Zeal Network CTO and COO Susan Standiford as an independent non-executive director and its newest member of the audit and risk committee, effective from 1 November 2024.
During her time at Zeal, Standiford was a member of its executive board and spent just under four years with the lottery operator, from May 2015 to December 2018.
As CTO, she was general manager of the Lottovate business unit where she told EGR in a previous interview that the platform had been “structured all around agility”.
Leaving Zeal to join IKEA as its CTO in February 2019, Standiford also held the same position at Disney Online between September 2009 and August 2011 and e-commerce portfolio firm Rue La La between September 2011 and 2015.
Most recently, Standiford was the CTO at software development company The Stepstone Group from November 2020 until June 2023.
She is also currently on the Stibo Software Group board as an independent non-executive director and chair of its tech committee, having joined last August.
Standiford has also been on the board of technology firm Didimo for the last seven years as a non-executive director.
In an announcement on the new appointment, evoke said: “Susan brings 30 years of product, technology and managerial experience from various industries at companies such as Oracle, Disney and Travelocity.
“Susan is active in the startup and scale-up communities as a mentor, adviser and angel investor.
Last month, evoke acquired a 51% stake in Romanian operator Winner for €10m (£8.5m). The purchase came weeks after the 888 and William Hill parent company reported a 2% dip in H1 revenue.
