EveryMatrix set to acquire Fantasma Games after receiving shareholder approval
The deal worth SEK209.8m will now proceed as EveryMatrix continues its M&A push following move for FSB Technology earlier this year

EveryMatrix is on the verge of completing its SEK209.8m (£15.6m) acquisition of Fantasma Games after receiving approval from the overwhelming majority of the Swedish firm’s shareholders.
In September, EveryMatrix made a public offer to purchase 100% of shares in Fantasma Games.
The bid had an expiration date of 10 October and needed at least 90% of Fantasma Games’ shareholders to agree to the deal for it to proceed.
That condition has now been met, as it was announced today, 11 October, that 95.2% of shareholders had backed the sale.
According to an EveryMatrix statement, Fantasma Games’ vast global presence, portfolio of “well known” slot titles and partnerships with more than 250 operators will boost EveryMatrix’s presence in growing markets such as North America.
Ebbe Groes, EveryMatrix Group CEO and co-founder, said the deal is fully funded by the firm’s own cash and represents “big synergies and opportunities”.
Groes explained: “Fantasma’s games are recognised by the world’s largest operators and their players as among the very best, both from a performance and an experience perspective.
“Its games production output is seriously impressive, as is their management and staff who have created a business that consistently generates remarkable financial results.
“I’d like to thank the EveryMatrix team who have worked so hard to make this possible as well as Fredrik [Johansson, Fantasma Games CEO] and his team, with whom we believe we can do even greater things as a combined force.”
The Fantasma Games CEO and founder Fredrik Johansson said he was looking forward to a long and successful collaboration with EveryMatrix.
“I’m incredibly proud of the fantastic journey we have undertaken so far with Fantasma Games,” he remarked.
“Now, as we approach the next major phase in our growth, I’m confident EveryMatrix is the perfect partner to help us realise our long-term vision.
“We not only share a common passion for innovation, but also a deep understanding of what it takes to create gaming experiences that truly engage and entertain players in a unique way.
“EveryMatrix has a strong technical platform and extensive experience in fostering successful collaborations within the gaming industry, which makes us feel confident that together we can take our game development to new heights.
“Through this partnership, we see tremendous potential, not only to enhance the quality of our existing games, but also to develop new and groundbreaking game concepts that can set future standards,” Johansson added.
The deal follows EveryMatrix’s all-cash deal for FSB in July, which sees the sports betting technology integrated into the OddsMatrix Division.
Fantasma Games was founded in 2016 and its games can be found on over 250 operators worldwide including DraftKings, Paddy Power and LeoVegas.
