Eurobet retains top prize at EGR Italy Awards
Gala Coral brand lands the spoils at last night's ceremony with a hat-trick of wins including Operator of the Year

Eurobet retained the coveted Operator of the Year title at the 2016 EGR Italy Awards night night, before going on to steal the show by completing a hat-trick of wins.
The Gala Coral-owned operator fought-off stiff competition from rivals including PokerStars, Sisal and Snai to land the top prize for a second year in a row at the glittering event held at the Rome Cavalieri Hotel, hosted by television presenter and model Laura Esposto.
Eurobet also scooped the Mobile Operator and Marketing Campaign categories as the operator built upon the success it enjoyed at last year’s Awards when it picked up two gongs.
Last night’s recognition underscored what’s been a successful year for the operator. Last month Eurobet reported online net revenues for the first nine months of the year were 34% ahead of the same stage last year.
It was also a triumphant night for Sisal after the operator claimed the Customer Services and Socially Responsible awards, while bet365 was recognised for its market leading position when claiming Sports Betting Operator of the Year.
Elsewhere, Snai picked up Casino Operator of the Year while tombola and Paddy Power retained their Bingo and Social Marketing titles respectively.
On the B2B side, Playtech topped the Mobile Supplier category, Skores won the Affiliate gong, Nextwin took home the Sports Betting provider prize, NetEnt edged out the competition to win Casino Supplier and Sportradar was crowned Software Supplier of the Year.
Last but not least, paysafecard won Payments and Fraud Company of the Year.
The ceremony was preceded by the EGR Online Gambling Briefing Italy, at which almost 100 of the country’s senior egaming professionals discussed the biggest issues currently facing the sector.
