Entain’s Chase-themed title leads to 56% boost in player spending
FTSE 100 operator says revenue has tripled compared to “top-tier launches with similar plinko mechanics” on game based on popular UK quiz show

Entain’s The Chase-themed live gameshow has seen a 56% rise in player spending a month after its launch.
Based on the popular ITV quiz show, the operator partnered with Playtech to create the exclusive game, which was first available in the UK and is now playable in Belgium, Brazil and Ontario, Canada.
The title, which is based on a plinko mechanic, is set to launch in South Africa and Italy.
According to Entain, player spending on the game rose 56% in its first month, which is triple the revenue compared to “previous top-tier launches with similar plinko mechanics”.
The game is hosted from Playtech’s live studio in Riga, Latvia and is available 24/7 for Entain customers.
The Chase, which has been running since 2009 and hosted by Bradley Walsh, sees four contestants face off against a quizzing expert, known as the ‘Chaser’.
Graciella Anthony, Entain global head of live and table games, said: “The launch of The Chase reaffirms Entain as the home of innovation, excitement and fun. We are always striving to create innovative content that stands out in the growing live gameshow genre.
“As the data shows, it has already been a hit with our customers around the world and we expect the game to continue its impressive growth trajectory.”
Steve Watling, ITV Studios’ SVP of gaming, added: “The Chase Live has been our most anticipated game release in 2024.
“We have been working with the teams at Entain and Playtech for many months on bringing one of the UK’s most successful and popular gameshow brands to the live casino space.
“The atmosphere and game elements of The Chase have been turned into an engaging and unique live game with the main plinko game, Head to Head and Final Chase bonus games. We are excited to see the game’s success exclusively across Entain’s portfolio.”
Aside from the reported growth in player spend, Entain has also launched the Chase Place on its Gala Bingo brand.
The online hub will host themed online casino games, including slots and bingo, as well as a free-to-play competition in July, with prizes including a tour of the Chase studio.
At the start of this week, the FTSE-100 operator lost its chief investor relations and communications officer David Lloyd-Seed after four years of service.
Last month, Entain hired former William Hill executive Charlotte Emery as its new chief marketing officer.
