Entain looks to new frontiers with US responsible gambling NFT launch
Entain Foundation debuts nine new tokens in responsible gambling app, with all proceeds going to charity

Entain Foundation US has launched a series of nine first-of-their-kind NFTs geared around encouraging responsible gambling awareness among its US players.
The NFTs, created in partnership with Enlighting Media, are a group of sharp, brightly colored 2D designs and GIFs that aim to represent the nine markers of at-risk gambling.
Markers as NFTs include increased spend and time spent gambling, canceled withdrawals, failed deposits, multiple payment methods including credit cards and gambling late at night.
The NFTs have been released in conjunction with Entain Foundation US’s responsible gambling app, Gamble Responsibly America, which provides practical tools, assistance and advice to individuals facing potential issues with problem gambling.
Proceeds from the sale of the NFTs will be donated to the Charles Oakley Foundation and the ‘Oak Out Hunger’ campaign, with Entain being partnered with the NBA legend since November 2021.
‘Oak Out Hunger’ focuses on providing support and resources to underprivileged communities facing hunger, addiction and economic challenges in cities throughout the US.
As part of the partnership, Entain Foundation US provides both funding and expertise aimed at reducing the effects of problem gambling in struggling and low-income communities.
Entain senior VP for American regulatory affairs and responsible gambling and principal trustee of the foundation, Martin Lycka, welcomed the launch.
“Education and awareness are at the core of Entain Foundation US’s preventative approach to encouraging responsible gambling,” Lycka explained.
“These NFTs are a memorable, digestible way to teach people how to recognize the nine markers of a gambling problem,” he added.
