Entain launches in-house Data Academy training programme
FTSE 100 operator opens up 20-person scheme to support beginners and advanced technicians with career progression and new skills

Entain has launched an in-house training programme that will provide employees with skills and education around data and STEM.
The programme, named Data Academy, will start with an initial 20 staff members in the UK for both data novices and those already working with data to advance their skillset.
The courses will last between 13 and 14 months and provide weekly sessions for staff.
The sessions will include “access to industry-leading content, personalised coaching and events”, according to Entain.
The operator added that staff involved in the programme will see their productivity levels increase as well as new efficiencies in their working patterns.
Entain staff who complete the Data Academy course will secure either a Level 3 Data Technician or Level 4 Data Analyst qualification.
Satty Bhens, chief product and technology officer at Entain, said: “Knowledge of data, and how to apply it, is an incredibly powerful tool – and it’s important for everyone across our business to feel empowered to make the best data-driven decisions.
“This programme will give our colleagues great opportunities to train, grow their careers with us and help set the business up for future success.
“We’re excited to see our colleagues taking part in the programme become data champions, and hope to see the Data Academy get bigger and better in the years to come,” he added.
