ELBA appoints new chairperson from myLotto24
MyLotto24’s senior legal counsel Elisa Field will replace lottery trade body’s outgoing chairperson Lena Patel
The European Lotto Betting Association (eLBA) has appointed myLotto24’s senior legal counsel Elisa Field as its new chairperson.
Field has become head of the lottery trade body after her predecessor and former colleague, Lena Patel, left myLotto24 to become head of public affairs at Hertfordshire-based Affinity Water.
Patel was appointed as the first ever chair of the eLBA when the association formed back in July 2018 with the aim of “forging a closer working relationship with European regulators”.
EGR Intel understands the chair position will rotate between member companies on an annual basis, and myLotto24 still has several months to run on its occupation.
The eLBA was founded by five lottery betting firms; Legacy 8, Lottogo, Lottoland, Multilotto and myLotto24, while Malta-based Gameworx joined the ranks last month.
Field said: “eLBA is giving a voice to the lottery betting sector in Europe and campaigning for an approach to regulation that is fair for customers and fair for the industry.
“We look forward to continuing to engage with regulators, politicians and operators in Europe and beyond,” she added.
