EGR to unveil 2023 Power 50 this week
This year’s rankings, which mark the 20th edition, kick off today with operators ranked 50th to 31st revealed
EGR is delighted to announce the start of this year’s EGR Power 50 rankings, with the industry’s leading B2C players set to be unveiled this week.
Starting today, 12 December, EGR will reveal the operators ranked from 50th to 31st to kick off proceedings.
On Wednesday, those firms occupying 30th to 11th place will then be unveiled.
The business end of the rankings will start on Thursday, with numbers 10 to six being announced in the morning.
The top five operators in the world of igaming and sports betting will then be named in a grand finale during the afternoon.
This year marks the 20th edition of the snapshot of the global online gambling industry, sponsored by EveryMatrix, and will provide a definitive and comprehensive run down of the top firms in the sector.
The criteria for where a company places in the rankings remains the same as in previous years.
Each operator is marked against four categories: geographic reach (an adjustment factor is used for companies with significant grey/black market exposure), strategy and impact, market influence and leadership, and financial power.
For the latter criteria, EGR has enlisted the support of accountancy heavyweight BDO to deploy its tried-and-tested financial model to help finalise the rankings.
