DSWV signs memorandum of understanding with IBIA
German Sports Betting Association will collaborate with the IBIA to promote regulated sports betting in Germany

The German Sports Betting Association (DSWV) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the IBIA with the goal of promoting the regulated sports betting market in the region.
The two associations represent most of the same operators, including many of the leading sports betting operators in Germany and internationally.
This commonality has led to the two groups agreeing to work in tandem to coordinate their activities and efforts on betting and integrity issues.
The pair will create activities to promote the regulated sports betting market in Germany with high consumer channelling and consumer and operator integrity protection measures.
Mathias Dahms, DSWV president, said: “The partnership between the German Sports Betting Association and IBIA is another welcome step forward for the German sports betting industry.
“With its many years of international experience and expertise in the field of sports integrity, the IBIA will support us in strengthening the regulated market and protecting it from manipulation. We, therefore, look forward to many joint projects and constructive cooperation.”
Khalid Ali, CEO of the IBIA, added: “IBIA recognises the important work that the DSWV has done over the years in transforming the German regulated sports betting market. That market transformation is ongoing, and betting integrity is a key part of that discussion.
“Indeed, the market provides a number of important opportunities and challenges for both of our associations and their respective members. IBIA looks forward to working closely with the DSWV to improve and protect the German sports betting market for consumers, sports and betting operators,” Ali concluded.
