DraftKings to triple Las Vegas footprint with new technology hub
US operator to recruit 1,000 new employees to new 90,000 sq ft state-of-the-art office

DraftKings has agreed the lease on a new 90,000 sq ft technology hub in Las Vegas.
The US gambling heavyweight will occupy the entire 40-acre UnCommons site, which is located in south west Las Vegas, in early 2022.
The new Las Vegas office will be the second largest occupied by the firm and after DraftKings’ Boston headquarters.
This includes a customized DraftKings-branded floorplan and collaborative workspace, as well as access to a variety of entertainment and workstations.
DraftKings opened its first 300-person office in Las Vegas in January 2020, which plays host to the operator’s customer experience, fraud, casino, sportsbook trading, HR, and IT teams.
DraftKings also serves as the primary sponsor of the UNLV Center for Gaming Innovation having agreed a multi-year sponsorship deal in October 2020.
The partnership has seen the opening of the first DraftKings Gaming Innovation Studio at UNLV, providing access to local talent and technology.
Multi-platform broadcast and content company VSiN, which DraftKings acquired in March 2021, is also based in Las Vegas.
As part of this latest expansion, DraftKings has committed to tripling the size of its employee count in the Silver State to more than 1,000 employees.
DraftKings co-founder and president Matt Kalish highlighted the expansion as “further exemplifying” the firm’s commitment to its employees and the wider community.
“Our goal is to create another world-class workplace environment that will foster DraftKings’ innovation, further bolster our local presence, and deepen community involvement,” Kalish explained.
“With these lofty aspirations, we were thrilled to discover that UnCommons mirrors these high standards,” he added.
Designed by IA Interior Architects and architecture firm Gensler, the office will be comprised of more than 130 dedicated sports trading desks surrounded by full multimedia walls, a 7,500 sq ft cafeteria, and event space.
It will also feature a custom casino training pit, a 500 sq ft interactive putt-view putting green, private and public outdoor spaces, and specific rooms for mothers.
Other workplace perks include onsite haircuts, manicures, pedicures, and a prayer suite.
UnCommons aims to ‘reimagine’ the workplace via the use of breakout spaces, a conference center, workshops, open-air common areas, residential units, and food and beverage options.
The UnCommons project will ultimately be expanded to include more than 500,000 sq ft of office space.
